Three Passes at the GCE (A/L) Examination and a Minimum of 25 Marks for the Fourth Subject with a minimum aggregagete of 180 Marks.
Should pass in English Language and an Ordinary pass in Mathemetics in not more than two sittings. (Those having an ordinary pass may apply on condition that they will appear for the next GCE (O/L) examination and obtain a credit pass in English).

MBBS (Sri Lanka) and/or
Registered as a medical officer in the Sri Lanka Medical Council or
Medical degree equal to MBBS qualification from any recognized university of a foreign country. Foreign degree should be registered with Sri Lanka Medical Council (pre-intern medical officers can also apply. They will be enlisted in the rank of temporary Captain)
