Ragama ‘Ranaviru Sevana’ Rehabilitation Centre where a large number of war-affected War Heroes are housed for rehabilitation and recreation, recently had a New Year festival organized inside the premises for its inmates.

Major General R.V Samaratunge, Director, Army Rehabilitation at the invitation of the ‘Ranaviru Sevana’ Commandant attended the Bak Maha Ulela as the Chief Guest, together with a large gathering of senior officers and Mrs Preethi Samaratunge, Chairperson, Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment Seva Vanitha Unit.

The full-day festival was comprised of a variety of games and fun-making events such as bun eating, the best laugh, fancy dress competition, musical chairs, cross country races, slow movement cycling, tug of war, pillow-fighting, marathon races, balancing games, hurdle runs, eye spotting, pot smashing, cadjan-weaving, etc.
