Over 104 Officers and Soldiers Came forward to donate blood to the blood bank at Vavunia General Hospital during a blood donation campaign, organized by 211 Brigade Headquarters serving Vavunia area.
The event on June 6, coincided with the historic Poson Full Moon Poya Day Commemoration of the year in Wanni area. Security Forces Headquarters, Wanni has given its blessings to the project that benefits hundreds of patients, lying at Vavunia hospitals.
211 Brigade’s Civil Affairs Coordinator on the directions of Brigadier P.M.S.A. Pallemulla, Commander, 211 Brigade organized the event on account of the historic buddhist phenomenon.
