Sri Lanka Army Rugby team, which has emerged as one of the most formidable teams to be reckoned with, received a boost when the Lanka Wall Tiles PLC came forward to be a co-sponsor to the Army team.
Mr Mahinda Jayasekara, Managing Director, Lanka Wall Tiles PLC recently met Major General Kamal Gunaratne, Chairman, Sri Lanka Army Rugby team and presented the co-sponsorship cheque to the Army for promotion of the sport.
The Army rugby team, which emerged as a strong team in the Inter Club Rugby Championship tournament is coached by a foreigner and two foreign nationals play on behalf of the Army team.
